Valles Caldera Geological Map Bandana

The Valles Caldera National Preserve, found in New Mexico, boasts one of North America's most unique geological features. This preserve covers a large part of what is known as the Valles caldera, a large volcanic crater formed 1.2 million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption covering large areas in New Mexico with volcanic ash.
